The 11th East Asian Joint Symposium held in Taiwai

The 11th East Asian Joint Symposium on Biomedical Research "Functional Genomics and Proteomics"& the third Symposium on Biomedical Research Cross-Strait Bilateral was held in Institute of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, National Taiwan University, College of Medicine on Dec. 4-6, 2004. Five professors and two Ph.D. students from the Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology participated in the symposium on behalf of the IBCB.
Prof. Lin Li, director of IBCB, Prof. Liao Kan, assistant president of SIBS, Prof. Jiawei Zhou, Bing Sun, and Rong Zeng made their oral presentations of recent research work. Prof. Zuxun Gong, the formal deputy director, was one of the section chairperson during the Symposium. Ms. Jing Guo and Mr. Shangyu Hong, the doctor candidates, on IBCB students´ behalf, had their 5 min oral presentations and poster presentation. Ms. Jing Guo won the student presentation´s first-degree prize.
Mr. Songlin Zhang, the deputy director of Taiwan Office of CAS, attended the symposium.
