Vice President of Indian Academy of Sciences visiting IBCB

On April 12th, Professor. Vijayan, Vice President of Indian Academy of Sciences, along with Mr. Yiqi Jiang of the International Cooperation Bureau, CAS, visited the Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology and met with Professor Youshang Zhang.
Prof. Vijayan and Prof. Zhang are friends, both studying insulin in the 60s of last century. Vijayan dropped by Shanghai after his visiting CAS in Beijing. The two old friends had a warm and genial talk. After introducing recent development of IBCB, Prof. Zhang accompanied him visiting our laboratory of structural biology and proteomics research center, and showed Prof. Vijayan the Jinmao Mansion, the highest building of Shanghai. Prof. Vijayan was deeply impressed with his visit to Shanghai.
Recently we have received the acknowledging e-mail from Prof. Vijayan.
