The Delegation from IBCB Attends the Fifth Cross Strait Symposium on Biomedical Research in Taiwan

From July 7-11, headed by the director Lin Li and 12 people delegation of our Institute visited Taiwan and attended the 2006 Symposium on the Frontier Biomedical Sciences and the 5^th Cross Strait on Biomedical Research Symposium. The symposium has around 300 people. From Taiwan 12 speakers, all of them are academicians in Taiwan and work in US. They delivered quite top level works. 5 young outstanding scientists from the IBCB and 5 posters from Ph.D. students also got very high appraising. All the works are very brilliant.

 

During the meeting break, Prof. Rong-yao Lin, Prof. Zu-xun Gong and Prof. Lin Li, had the discussion on our further cooperation. Both institutes will send the professors CV and their works to find the both interesting partners to establish the collaboration between labs.  The Taiwan policy more and more opens to mainland, the cooperation could be realized in the future.

 

After symposium, the delegation was invited by the director of the Institute of Biochemistry of Chen Gong University and gave oral and poster presentations again in Cheng Gong University.

 

Next year, we are going to invite the Taiwan delegation visit IBCB and to organize the six cross strait symposium.
