The Visit of Dr. Susan Gottesman from the National Academy of Sciences,USA

On Oct. 24th , 2008, Dr. Susan Gottesman, member of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America, member of the American Academy of Art and Sciences, Senior Investigator of Center for Cancer Research (CCR), NIH visited SIBS. Dr. Xu Zhang, vice president of SIBS and Dr. Naihe Jing, vice director of IBCB welcomed Dr. Susan Gottesman and made introductions on SIBS and IBCB respectively. Then Dr. Susan Gottesman visited IBCB, including having a brown bag lunch conversation with students, giving a lecture as well as touring labs and core facilities at IBCB.
Dr. Susan Gottesman was elected to the National Academy of Sciences in 1998 and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1999 in recognition of her work on energy-dependent proteolysis.
