Argentinean Minister of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation visited IBCB

In the afternoon of 3rd September, Dr. José Lino Barañao, the Argentinean Minister of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation visited Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences (SIBS), CAS along with his delegation. Prof. Xu Zhang, vice president of SIBS, welcomed the delegation and gave an overall introduction of SIBS. Prof. Youshang Zhang, Academician of CAS, from Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology (IBCB) also attended the meeting and made a brief presentation on the history of IBCB and synthesizing crystalline bovine insulin. Then both sides had talks on issues of common interest such as the integration of fundamental biological sciences and clinical research. At last, the delegation visited the Core Facility for Cell Analysis and the Core Facility for Molecular Biology.
