CAS key Laboratory of Molecular Cell Biology held committee conference

The 4th committee conference of the 3rd term of CAS key Laboratory of Molecular Cell Biology (LMCB) was held on April 1, 2010 at Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology (SIBCB). It brought together many scientific experts from well-known universities and institutions.

 

At the start, Prof. Qishui Lin, the head of the committee, Prof. Anning Lin, the director of SIBCB, and Prof. Xiaoya Chen, the director of Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences, delivered their welcome speeches to all the participates. Later, the head of LMCB, Prof. Xueliang Zhu gave a brief introduction of the laboratory, reported the annual work in 2009 and outlined the future plan and goal for the coming years. Dr. Qi Zhou was invited to report on Reprogramming：from Somatic Cell to Pluripotent Cell and Adult Animal, which was very impressive.

 

During the conference, several academics of LMCB gave presentations on their research aspects and were evaluated by the present experts. "The overall achievements were significant." said by these experts, and they hoped the LMCB could further enhance collaboration with clinical hospitals and actively transfer the basic research into clinical practice.
