SHI Lvji, Renowned Chinese Cell Biologist, Dead at 94

SHI Lvji, professor of Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, an academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, died at age 94 on December, 14 in Hua Dong Hospital in Shanghai.
Prof. Shi was an eminent scientist, a pioneer of cell biology and embryology study in China. He dedicated his entire life to the development of biological science in China and to the education of young scientists. He was the also the founder of former Beijing Biology Experiment Centre.
The memorial meeting of Prof. Shi will be held in Long Hua Funeral Parlor in Shanghai on December, 20 at 10:00 AM.
