Journal of Molecular Cell Biology published a Special Issue on Genomic Instability and Cancer

Source: Time: 2011-02-16
The first 2011 issue of Journal of Molecular Cell Biology is a Special Issue on Genomic Instability and Cancer organized by JMCB’s associate editor Prof. SHEN Zhiyuan, Cancer Institute of New Jersey. Considering the complex relationship between genomic instability and cancer, this special issue covers DNA replication, DNA damage reaction and repair, and discussed their application in cancer treatment. Specific topics include: Restart of stalled replication fork, replication licensing, Okazaki fragment maturation, RecQ and Blm helicases in the rescue of stalled replication fork, RAD9 checkpoint protein in tumorigenesis, miRNA regulation of p53, epigenetic regulation of DNA damage repair, DNA repair gene polymorphism in determining cancer susceptibility, synthetic lethality and synthetic viability in tumorigenesis and treatment.

Launched in October 2009, the Journal of Molecular Cell Biology (JMCB) is an online, peer-reviewed journal published by Oxford Journals on behalf of Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology (IBCB), Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences (SIBS), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). It has published 9 issues online and the current editor-in-chief is Prof. WU Jiarui, SIBCB, SIBS, CAS.
